A BIT ABOUT ME
I'm Josh, I'm a Filmmaker based in Plymouth whos passion and craft leans towards musical projects such as music videos, band Docs and more. This is just because I generally have a massive passion for film and music as I was brought around both very heavily, so it's been a big interest of mine, However, I'm not defined by this style, I also have a wide range of skills and cinematic pursuits that include editing, writing and directing. If I had to describe my style in two words it would 'Observational filmmaker', as I tend to make films that are based around real life.

OVER THE YEARS..
With a wide set of skills in film making that include editing, cinematography and sound design, I primarily focus my craft towards all things music, artistic and abstract as this is where my interests lye. Over the course of my Degree (BA: HONS FILM) I have had the opportunities to be apart of expansive projects that have allowed me to acquire new skills and push me as a film maker.
SHOOT THE SOUND PRODUCTIONS
Shoot the sound productions is the idea of bringing together local music acts and local musicians so that they create music videos, band documentaries, gather archive footage. The focus is that live music in places are losing its place. Shoot the sound aims to generate a creative movement that brings music and media together
WHATS THE FILM ABOUT?
The film so far is a blue print for a bigger project I am hoping to get started later on in the year which is a lengthy documentary of about 45 minutes about music culture in local towns, artist insights and general good vibes. In this 7 minute film titled 'Excursion' we see a small performance from Grace Lang as well as a handful of guitar players sharing some of their thoughts on their favourite songs. The idea for the film being titled 'Excursion' is because they and we are always under going a musical journey which is unquie to everyone and this is what i am to capture.
BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT
Foremost when it comes to the median of Film, i would class my self a documentarian as well as a writer/editor.
My primary focus is creating projects along side musicians and other like minded film makers.
CAST AND CREW
This film only required a small production team, which conceited of me and Nathan Carroll who I have worked with over the years on various projects. Nathan is the main camera operator however we shared roles in sound and vision.
